The Savannah State University National Alumni Association – District of Columbia is chartered by the Savannah State University National Alumni Association<\/a> and is organized to provide a\u00a0local organization for SSUNAA members in the Washington metropolitan area which\u00a0includes all of the District of Columbia\u00a0and parts of Northern\u00a0Virginia, Southern Maryland and a small portion of West Virginia. The primary purpose\u00a0is to promote the welfare of Savannah State University<\/a> and to assist in advancing the mission and the goals of the university\u2019s administration as we\u00a0meaningfully engage and support\u00a0Savannah State University and its alumni community.<\/p>\n

Affiliations<\/h3>\n

\"55354\"<\/a>The SSUNAA Washington DC Chapter is a participating member of the DC Metro HBCU Alumni Alliance<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Chapter History<\/h3>\n

The chapter was officially chartered in 1957\u00a0in\u00a0Washington, DC.<\/p>\n

Membership<\/h3>\n

Chapter membership is open to any graduate or former student of Georgia State Industrial College for Colored Youth, Georgia State College, Savannah State College, and\/or Savannah State University who is currently a member of the Savannah State University National Alumni Association.<\/p>\n

National Dues:\u00a0$70 per year
Local Chapter Dues: $50 per year<\/p>\n

NOTE:<\/strong> The first year of SSUNAA National Membership dues are waived for one year after graduating from Savannah State University.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n
